‘What Took You So Long’

The Lewben Art Foundation extends its heartfelt invitation to celebrate the artwork created by female artists and to commemorate the 17 February 1918,the first day after Lithuania declared its independence, the day when the first protest took place where thousands of people gathered and adopted a petition calling for the inclusion of women in the Council of Lithuania. It is worth mentioning that this year Europe is to devote its main exhibition spaces to works by female artists in recognition of gender inequality in the world of art. At the same time, it is celebrating the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, including the opportunity to study arts without any restrictions. The ‘PARADE Extract’ and the new album are devoted to the artwork created by the artists from the collection of the Lewben Art Foundation. ‘What Took You So Long’ is our way to celebrate the impressive works of art and significant changes inhumanity.
